Fingerpaint = Fail

So we got a bunch of fingerpaints, beads, kids paints, playdoh and such so me and Taylor could start doing art projects during the day.  Something to do, plus it gives her experiences she hasnt had just yet.

Today I decided since daddy was home, we were going to fingerpaint.  So we turned on the Senior Bowl in her playroom (daddy had to have his football) and opened all the paints.  And this is what happened...

Mommy ended up being the only one to fingerpaint!  GO TEBOW! HA HA

So pitty....

Yup, it's snowing!  Woo Hoo! I made a deal with mother nature. She knows we're moving back to Georgia in May and I told her to give us a few snowstorms because it'd prolly be a while before we saw it again. Let's just say she's held up her end of the bargain (though we missed the biggest snowstorm here in VA when we travelled back to Ohio for Christmas).  We got a FOOT this time!  And Taylor was loving it! She kept saying "so pitty" (she heard mom say it)

I wanted to take her out to play in the snow, but she's been stuffy and had a runny nose for a few days so we didnt want that to get worse! :(

This was early on...we ended up getting about a FOOT!

I'm a big girl now...

For the past year, when the weather was nice, we'd take a family walk every night around the neighborhood.  Tonight it was 55 degrees.  Still kind of cold, but daddy wanted to take Taylor for a walk with him.  Instead of getting in her stroller, she wanted to do it "big girl style". So her and daddy took their walk.  This was the view I got once they rounded the block.

And then when she realized Daddy wanted her to keep walking, she started to run back to Mommy. 

Ha ha. I love this kid!  She is my world!

Taylor's new thing is dancing to "Ring Around the Rosie".....her and I do it....like 100 times a day. Yup. No Kidding. 100 times.

When Daddy got home, it was his turn!

No, it's "MOMMY"!

All day on Friday, Taylor kept yelling something at me and I couldnt quite figure out what it was (Trust me, deciphering a 2 year old is NOT easy!).  Then, after a few hours I realized what she was saying...she was yelling "Missy" at me!  Yup, "Missy"...not "Mommy".  I couldnt figure out why she was doing that.  Only thing I can come up with is that she heard Tim yelling to me from another level in the house and realized it was my name.  It's too funny.  Ever since then, she's been calling me that.  For the most part, I'm still "mommy", but whenever she's in a different room and wants my attention, she'll yell "Missy".  HA HA Funny girl.

Kids say the darndest....

Taylor didnt take a long nap today, which forced me to have to workout with her running around me, trying to work out with me (she picks up the 3 lb weights and "imitates" me), and trying to "throw" my stability ball.  Ugh.  So, as I'm laying on the floor doing a particular exercise, Taylor runs up to me all concerned and looks at me from above and says "Are you okay?".  I almost died laughing.  I informed her I was quite alright and went on with my exercise as she went back to "throwing" the big ball.  Oh.My.God. My kid is hilarious!  And I must've looked like I was dying!

You know it's a bad day when this happens...

That would be the fruit bowl....pretty much empty.  All hell breaks lose when that happens.....especially when there arent any "mananas"!  Guess I better get to the store.

Big Shoes to Fill

Literally...

This morning, Taylor decided she was going to put on Mom's shoes and parade around the bedroom.  Greatest thing in the world to wake up to!

And then she fell...they were on the wrong feet. I give her A for effort though :)

Everybody....meet Linus....

In the past month, Taylor has developed this overwhelming obsession with taking her "bankie" everywhere with here.  And not any old blankie will do, she HAS to have the white "First Christmas" blanket her Grandma Tomes got her.  Ugh.  Key word there....WHITE! 

So yes, it's been a battle with the blankie lately, but can you really take away something a child loves so much?

Blackmail

I took Taylor to Chucky Cheese this morning to meet some friends for a playdate.  We got home around noon.  She was so tired from all the playing she asked for a nap, I put her in her room.  When I went to check on her about 30 minutes later, this is what I found....

These are gonna be great to show her on prom night.  HA HA

Rainy Day...

except it's FRIGGIN cold and not rainy at all...

This is what me and Taylor decided to do today to pass the time inside (we're running out of activities to do and dont start our Art Fridays until next week). 

Yes, it's CRAYON on the window.  In case you didnt know it, it EASILY wipes off with a dry paper towel!

She loves pointing out the SUN and MOON.  So she was having a blast!

.............until she drew on the windowsill and I had to abort the crayon-on-window-mission....

Yup, it was fun while it lasted! 

Diaper Duty

Big Girl Table

This puts a whole new meaning to "Big Girl Table".  Papa Tomes just HAD to sit at Taylor's table with her and eat breakfast this morning.  I guess he fits right in, dont ya think?

It's officially 2010.  This year, my munchkin will turn 2 years old, will move to a different state and will hopefully join preschool. It's going to be such an exciting year for her!!
