Potty Training 101

Potty Training. Every parent's worst nightmare. Okay, maybe teen pregnancy tops that one, but seriously, we're NOWHERE near close to that shiz. THANK GOD

So we've been working with Taylor and she's been going on the potty and she's doing okay, but is still really nowhere near being potty trained.

The reason for this post.....lately, when we put her down for her nap, she's been taking off her pants and pullup.  This usually results in my freakout session when I go check on her after she's fallen asleep because I walk in on a naked butt facing up from her bed (it's a cute butt, but not something I wanna see when I check on her).  So I always freak out, check the bed under her to make sure she hasnt peed everywhere and then slip on a new pullup all while trying not to wake her.  It sounds totally cute and funny and all.....yea, until the 5th or so time of washing sheets/blankets/mattress pads.

So, Tim didnt believe me when I told him of these "take my diatey off" mishaps, until he was here to witness one firsthand.  He went to check on her and this is what he found....
If you look closely (dont worry you cant see her stuff).....she managed to take off her pants and her pullup and then try to put them back on....

However, she only went through one leg of BOTH her pullup and her pants (pullup is under the pants in the pic).

Cute?  Yes.
Funny? Yes.
A+ for effort? Yes.
Prom Date Blackmail?  Hell Yes!

Yup, we're their parents...

I got to staring at a picture that's in the playroom. It's of me, when I was 9 months old and came to the realization that Cooper is my mini-me and Taylor is her dad's mini-me.  Dont believe me?  Just take a look for yourself....

Tim (at 3 years old)

Taylor (at 2 years old)

Missy (at 9 months old)

Cooper (at 2 months old)

And just for the heck of it....here's a pic of Cooper (left at one month old) and Taylor (right at two months old) to show their similarities.  These pictures are hanging on our collage wall next to one another.  Tim thought they were both Taylor until I made him look closer one day!  HAHA

Monsters!

Apparently, Tim and I make and grow freakishly large children.  Cooper just got back from his two month appointment and he was off the charts, as his sister always was.   And just in case you're not keeping track, here's the measurements in writing so your jaw can drop just as mine did.

Cooper---BIRTH
Weight: 9 pounds, 4 ounces
Height:  20.5 inches

Cooper---2 MONTHS
Weight:  16 pounds
Height:  23.5 inches

And just to put this in perspective, Taylor was a monster as well.....here's her measurements...

Taylor---BIRTH

Weight: 8 pounds
Height: 20 inches

Taylor---2 MONTHS
Weight: 13 pounds, 14 ounces
Height: 24 inches

Seriously, where do these kids come from?

Reflux-0, Happy Baby-1

Happy New Year!  I'm hoping this year will be amazing! I know we're off to a good start.

I'm happy to say Cooper's reflux has subsided. It took prevacid to make it happen, but to those makers of prevacid, I salute you. Thanks to your wonder drug that I hope doesnt hurt my child in the long run, I now have a happy baby!

See for yourself!
