It's official!

We have a healthy, heart beating baby on the way!  The ultrasound today confirmed that we do, indeed, have a bean in there!  I am exactly 6 weeks along, with a due date of November 22, 2010!   She even checked his/her heartbeat and it was a healthy 115 (anything over 100 this early is good)!

We are obviously not past the "safe point" (at 12 weeks), but we just had to share!  If everything goes well, Taylor is going to be a big sister!

(hard to tell but that little hangy thing in there, that's the baby!)

Blogging.....to come....

Yup, Lent is almost over...which means I'll have more time on the computer...and more important, catch up on blogging.  So, stick with me, we'll have some more posts in about a week!

Until then, just know.....

**Taylor is still alive
**She's still cute
**We're still living in the same house we were before
**Our "kee kee" is no longer with us :( (will post about that later)
**And uh....yea, I think that's it.  Why I even have this last point....?  I dont care to delete it and for some reason just keep typing...

Operation Break Taylor of the Paci: Day 1

We have decided to break Taylor of the paci.  I had said from the beginning that 2 years old was the limit for having a paci in your mouth anyway. I cant stand to see parents walking around with a 3 or 4 year old with a paci hanging out of their mouth.

We also decided on this for two apparent reasons:  1) She's almost 2 and seeing her walk around with a paci in her mouth just didnt seem right anymore.    And 2) She keeps chewing holes in them and of course, thinking she'll choke on the pieces, I kept buying new ones.  No more.

Tonight was the first night we put her to bed without her paci.  She laid down fine, never whined for it and stayed quiet for about 10 minutes or so.  But after 10 minutes had passed, she started playing in her bedroom...and still is, 20 minutes later. Ugh.  It could be worse, she could be crying for the paci.  I guess I shouldnt speak too soon. That might be next.  Ugh. Let's all just hope she eventually just passes out.  We'll see...

Big Girl!

For the past month or so, before we put Taylor in the tub, I'd strip her down and sit her on her big girl potty.  We bought a dora potty seat that sits on top of a regular toilet.  I wasnt expecting a miracle as I wasnt really planning on tackling potty training til after we moved, but I wanted her to get used to just sitting on it.  At first, she was afraid, but then once she realized she was sitting on Dora's face (um, before you make a comment, just remember we're talking about an almost 2 year old sitting on her potty...you pervs), she was okay with the seat.  Plus I figured when she did eventually pee, we'd cheer her on like crazy and maybe she'd wanna do it all the time. She LOVES to hear how she's a "big girl" so I figured this would help!

So, a month of sitting her on her potty chair....and finally tonight, she decided she wanted to pee!!!!   I was ecstatic.  Since it was my bath night, I was right there with her while Tim was finishing up some stuff downstairs, so I yelled to him she was peeing.  We cheered her on and she was excited!  Let's hope it's the beginning of the process. But again, I'm not "pushing" it til this summer, so we're taking it slow.

Banana-2; Mommy-0

Though she's getting a bit more interested and attached to mommy, bananas still rule her world.

Again, her reason for waking up in the morning.

And if they're not there, you better alert the National Guard.

You think I'm kidding? I DARE you to come eat the last banana in our house!

Should we have gotten a dog instead?

Living with a 2 year old frequently reminds me of living with a puppy.  They chew on everything, tear up everything and constantly eat.....

Exhibit A:  This is what I walked into after doing the dishes today.
Yup, that's a magazine...torn to shreds. Nutty girl!

Baby #2 on the way!

Okay, the reason I havent been able to blog lately is because I've had dr appointments galore lately....

This is REALLY EARLY, but we thought we'd let you all know we are expecting Baby #2.  Our expected due date with this one is November 18, 2010.

Now, before you get all super mucho excited....I do have to fill you in some info.  Tim and I have been trying for about 6 months now....well, we actually really only started "trying" this month, but havent been on birth control since Taylor was born and I started charting about 6 months ago.

Anywho, so I was late this month (as I am every month) and took an EPT on Monday. It came out Negative.  So I sat around and waited for my period to start.  I've been having issues with cramping lately and had made a few appointments to get my ovaries checked out for cysts.  I had my first ultrasound scheduled for yesterday afternoon.  However, before that, I went for a checkup on my breast lumps (yup still having those problems) and the Dr said before she refers me to the breast clinic to get a biopsy she wanted to test me to see if I'm pregnant. She did...and I was!!!!

Well, later that afternoon I went for my ovary ultrasound and warned the tech that I JUST found out I was prego and I was REALLY early!  Like only 3-4 weeks prego early!  She did the exam and got worried. She said she did find a cyst but it also resembled what a tubal pregnancy would look like (doh!).  So she sent me for some bloodwork to check my HcG levels and then set me up an appointment this afternoon to talk with my Dr about the results.  When I went in to the see him he said they just cant diagnose it yet but they dont mess around with tubals, so he sent me to the ER to get some tests and see if they could figure out if it is a cyst or a tubal pregnancy.  My HcG levels at this appt were 189.4 (which puts me at 3-4 weeks pregnant).

(I swear I'm trying to make this short, but I cant leave out important details)

So...after sitting in the ER for 4 hours, they took some blood, did another ultrasound (and transvaginal one) and basically said my HcG levels were 240 now (which put me at 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant) and that since I'm so early along, they cant tell if it's tubal or just a cyst.  You see, they cant tell yet because they cant find the gestational sac (the baby basically), but that's normal early on in pregnancy since it's the size of a sesame seed. So, the diagnosis is that I have to go in Monday to get more bloodwork to check my HcG levels.  As long as they are increasing, the pregnancy is still there.  And in two weeks, I go for another ultrasound. If they see the baby, I'm pregnant and just have an ovarian cyst (which is fine). But if they dont see the baby, it's tubal and that sucks.

But we will keep you all updated as we find out more!!  Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that this is a good pregnancy and Taylor gets her little sister or brother :)

Thank you Dora!

So my child is turning bilingual and it's basically from watching an hour of Dora each day....

The past few days, she's been walking around and saying "ayudame" (which, if you dont speak Spanish means "help me") when she needs something instead of plainly asking for help in English.

Me and Tim almost die laughing everytime she says it!

Before today, it was "Estrellas" for the stars.  I wonder what's next.

Lent = Less blogging

If you read this....you know I'm slacking.  I have a few things to blog about, I just havent gotten a free minute to do it. In my hour on the computer, I get caught up in searching for rentals in Georgia and facebooking it rather than blogging (bad me!).  But I promise I'll get around to it...........tomorrow, since my hour is up :(

Taylor's First Broken Window...

...and prolly not the last!

Ugh.  Taylor loves to throw things around. It's something I always taught her to do, being that I want her to someday follow in mommy's steps and play softball. Usually, we're throwing around the plush balls we have or the little plastic ones from her ball pit.  But every once in a while, she grabs one of the hard balls that came in a toy and chucks it at the window or on top of the coffee table.

Today, the window finally had it!  And we all know what happens next....

Surprisingly, Daddy didnt take this as bad as I thought he would....especially considering it's gonna cost a few hundred dollars to fix.  He actually joked that she's gonna have to work it off LOL.

Working out with Daddy!

Taylor loves to mess around with Daddy while he's working out....she's always bugging him when he's doing pushups...and sometimes he uses her to workout with him.  LOL Point in case below.

Dont let the pictures fool you folks, she weighs 30+ pounds!  This is harder than it looks LOL.

Lemme out of the house!!!

So...I realized one thing being a parent...as much as I love winter. I do not love having a child and dealing with winter. Being cooped up in the house because it's too cold to do anything really sucks :(

So, Tim decided to take Taylor up to the mailbox to get the mail yesterday (Monday). She was so excited to get out the house, even if only for a minute.

And of course since I'm totally in love with my kid and I think she's the cutest thing in the world, I have to document it....c'mon are you really complaining?  She IS the cutest :)

She really couldnt say bye to mommy...but eventually daddy got her walking!
She's so cute!
That's my munchkin :)
In case you cant tell, she LOVES Dora!  Dora hat, Dora jammies.
Cutest. Kid. Ever :)
And the funny part is she was sucking her boogers the whole time! HA HA

Lumpy McGee

For those who dont know, I figured I'd update you.  About a month ago, I discovered a lump on Sebastian...I thought it was the size of a ping pong ball.  It was on her back. We took her to the Vet.  They did bloodwork, Xrays, ultrasounds, and an aspiration (small needle used to collect cells) and then referred us to a Veterinary Surgeon.  Long story short (since I have a ton more to post and my hour is ticking away)....the lump is actually the size of a softball, it is attached to her body wall and really close to her spine.  All the vets were stunned, they'd never seen anything like it.  But all that meant....it's basically inoperable.  So we forewent (is that a word?) a biopsy to determine if it's cancer because it's inoperable anyway. So she may or may not have a short amount of time. We dont know. She could live for years. We'll see.  We just know as long as she's not suffering, we'll let her live! Anyway, in the mean time lemme entertain you with some pics of the lump.  I call her "Lumpy McGee" whenever I see it. I know it's not funny, but you have to make light of things like this, in situations like this.

Ladies and Gents, I give you "Lumpy McGee"....

That's her lump.  This is just the top of it, remember it's the size of a softball!  You just cant see the rest cause it's IN her body!  Poor girl!
