Backyard deprived...TIL NOW :)

So, living in VA, Taylor had been severly deprived of having the "backyard experience" as I call it. Yes there were neighborhood playgrounds (which werent all that great if you ask me), but she had a backyard that was 25 square feet. Yup, I'm not kidding. (And for you non-math nerds, it's 5 feet long by 5 feet wide).  And that backyard we did have didnt have grass and collected water like it was the Hoover dam.  So it was constantly muddy, filled with bugs and just plain out nasty.  Even too nasty just to play in the mud.

Fast forward to where we are now :)  She has a YARD!  And it's a BIG ONE!  And she LOVES it!
We've already put her kiddie pool out there and spent a few nice days out there catching some rays and running through the sprinkler or lounging in the baby pool!  Taylor is in heaven.  And sometimes watching her play makes me feel like we've deprived her (unintentionally of course) with not giving her a backyard. Good thing is we wont have to worry about that ever again :)

Here are some pics from Taylor playing in her pool in her new yard....with daddy.

We just ordered her a playground to go in her backyard too (which will arrive on the 18th-20th of June) so we are anxiously awaiting on that :)

  1. Your house was only five feet wide? I call shenanigans!

  2. LOL No, but the area of backyard she COULD play in was about 5 feet by 5 feet. Take away the super mud area under the deck, the spot the air conditioner took up and you were left with about 5 feet by 5 feet!
